Cannes Ad Campaign
This ad was shown recently during the Cannes International Film Festival to raise awareness about chemicals linked to cancer, birth defects and other health harms in cosmetics and personal care products we all use everyday.
The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is urging all cosmetics companies to sign the Compact for Safe Cosmetics, a pledge to replace hazardous ingredients with safer alternatives within three years. On May 5th, the campaign announced that more than 100 companies have signed the compact, but companies including L'Oreal, Revlon, Estee Lauder, Avon, Proctor & Gamble and Unilever have thus far refused to sign this pledge.
